A recent survey reveals that apathy is growing among the Americans and they are getting more and more resigned at the invasion of their liberties by the U.S. government on the name of national security and under the so called ‘war on terror’. It has now become so common every month or two that the mainstream media controlled by large corporations with military and weapons manufacturers interests in mind or being in partnership with them, hype the threat to the American mainland. The culprits are usually some Somali or some other unsophisticated plot, discovered by Yemeni or Saudi secret police which according to them reveals that a certain individual was planning to blow up such and such thing. Looking at these government backed and sanctioned channels an impression is created that any time, any day, or rather any minute unless Americans agree and willingly submit to more surveillance of their daily lives, consent to their whereabouts monitored by such friendly and seemingly innocuous sites like Facebook and Google, who have provided the FBI and other intelligence agencies within the U.S. full access to their embedded codes which can track each and every individual and their political and mental inclinations, their whereabouts and access to their credit cards which show even where they had their breakfast and how many eggs they had ordered. Even the cell phone companies have joined this combined effort and are providing unlimited and unhindered access to the U.S. secret services help track any citizen any time of the day. Intel is working on new chips which will have secret listing devices embedded in them, and the Intelligence agencies could activate any of those devices, if they suspected that the person is a threat to the U.S. security. Every individual who does not agree 100 percent of the time with the U.S. wars can be declared a terrorist supporter or un patriotic citizen to say the least or with suspect loyalties. The core belief as put down the throats of the people is that all patriotic Americans are required to support war and “support our troops”.This PEW research survey also revealed that almost half of the Americans consider the Government a threat to their liberties and freedoms. The media which is more and more concentrated in fewer hands and for sure corporate hands, has a vested interest in supporting the Regime. The Regime grants them contracts worth billions and billions of dollars and the ad revenues that they are loosing to the internet on a daily basis are being made up by them in providing military services and provision of military equipment and hardware to the government. Taking the General Electric’s example, who own NBC, CNBC and hundreds of other channels and newspapers it could be said that their total support for the wars and the ruling elite has benefitted them handsomely. GE is awash in money and if one listens to their TV outlets and the high level of propaganda that it generates favoring practically every position of the ruling elite, it becomes apparent that these TV outlets and the Government are closely cooperating in denying and squelching the rights of the Americans and pushing the war on terror and other wars.Any time the U.S. government launches or is about to launch a military operation against another resource rich government in the Middle East, the press and the TV outlets are given a signal. A totally fabricated scenario is created by the Media that such and such government has weapons of mass destruction and or are about to use the chemical weapons and that if the U.S. does not attack within the next few days, the U.S. will be finished as a nation. This propaganda takes the form of creating or trying to create a monster in the minds of the U.S. citizens who are asked to support the military operation. Thereafter polls are released, which are usually the last act in the process, indicating 90 percent of Americans supporting an immediate military operation, that attacks are launched putting hundreds of millions or dollars in the GE’s bank accounts and giving bonuses and Pulitzer prices for the newsmen who push the military options. Each operation costs billions of dollars, and full fledged wars cost trillions. Ultimate cost of Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will ultimately cost eight trillion dollars and the Media Moghuls have amassed a huge fortunes over the dead bodies of millions of Iraqis and Afghanis who have lost their lives and limbs. In the end it’s the media, the corporate media with interests in Military industrial complex is responsible for this tragedy.
